Infrastructure for laptops in the classroom

Lecture halls providing each student with 1 power outlet & 1 ethernet port built into the desk is not an uncommon practice for Universities! My old school (SPSU) only had a few thousand students, but had several classrooms like this.

Going forward, I'd like to see this become the standard in new classroom construction--especially in the classrooms used by Computer Science students (where most students bring laptops to class, because we cannot write software with pen & paper--or with a dead battery).
